Benchmarks: Multimedia
Multimedia workloads are where the Core i7-5775C's Iris Pro 6200 graphics and 128MB eDRAM cache prove their worth. PCMark 8's Creative test incorporates web browsing, photo editing, video editing, group video chat, media transcoding, and light gaming. With all that taken into account, the i7-5775C is deemed 11 per cent quicker than incumbent i7-4790K.
That gap is widened to a massive 103 per cent when focussing exclusively on graphics performance. 3DMark demonstrates that Iris Pro 6200 is at the very least twice as quick as HD 4600, and there's enough horsepower on offer to climb to the top of the chart at the expense of AMD's Radeon-powered A10-7870K.
