Benchmarks: System

PCMark is used to measure overall system performance, with the 'Home' test including workloads that reflect common tasks for a typical user. The latest version of the benchmark uses multi-threaded workloads and OpenCL acceleration, making it the near-perfect test for an AMD APU.

With the right workload, the A10-7800 is really able to shine. Making things interesting, we've graphed the date in two ways: actual score and score per watt. The results show that while the A10-7800's 45W operating mode loses out in terms of maximum performance, it's one of the most efficient options in our line-up.

SiSoft Sandra examines almost every facet of system performance, with 12 separate benchmarks aggregated to provide a final score. It takes a long time to run and, interestingly, the A10-7800 benchmarks slightly lower than the A8-7600 when both chips are set to a 45W TDP.

Having a full compliment of 512 graphics cores is what really sets the A10-7800 apart from the A8-7600. Factor up-to-date drivers into the equation and the chip is able to demonstrate very strong IGP performance.
