3DMark 2001SE, Comanche 4, X²

The venerable 3DMark 2001SE shows that L2 cache is important. The 700-mark deficit to the Model 3200+, running at the same 2GHz clock speed, is proof enough. In the context of the other CPUs in the table, the 19,846-mark overall score is still impressive, and falls somewhere between a Pentium 4 3.2GHz and 3.4GHz CPU, both of which cost more.

It's the slowest of the group. Can you tell the difference between an average 62.18FPS and 63.51FPS? (assuming that peaks and troughs are consistent between the 3000+ and Pentium 4 3.0GHz CPUs). Comanche 4 also indicates a preference for 1MB of you know what.

X² - The Threat carries on the theme of the Model 3000+ being slightly slower than the 3200+ in gaming-related benchmarks. The operative word is slight, and the CPU's performance is still more than a match for the equivalent Pentium 4s.
