UT2003

Now that we are into some real game playing tests the Barton core and the additional cache seem to come into their own. The XP3000+ demonstrates an impressive improvement on the scores of both the XP2800 and the P4.

Serious Sam

For this benchmark we used the testing Valley of the Jaguar demo. Although the XP3000+ was better than the XP2800 there really is nothing between them. The P4 wins this test by a large margin. Could this be a game that takes advantage of Intel’s Hyper-Threading or maybe its coding is geared around the Intel instruction set?

QIII

The old favourite benchmark, not least because it is so quick to carry out, shows the AMD to be ahead of the P4. The XP3000+ proved itself better than the XP2800 with a moderate improvement.
