Value and Efficiency

We can calculate relative value by looking at the all-core-aware Cinebench score and then dividing that result by the cost of each processor at Newegg (US dollars).

1950X scores higher than 2950X because its street price is lower. However, the reviewed chip comes out over 50 per cent higher than the Core i9-7900X.

We can also divide the same score by the TDP as quoted by the manufacturer. One can argue that Intel and AMD don't match up in the real world - one guy's 180W is not another's - though 2950X still puts up a decent showing.
