Performance is, once again, way off the pace at 1080p, remedied only by going into Game Mode.
The most stark example of having too many threads and programs not understanding what's going on is Total War: Warhammer 2. Performance is unplayable without going to Game Mode, and even then, it's not as sharp as a Ryzen 7 2700X.
That's not all of it. Far Cry 5, a regular title, wouldn't even load with the 32-core 2990WX until a very recent patch. Make of that what you will.
