Thoughts
I have serious reservations about the mounting system for the Hyper-6, combined with its weight. It's a recipe for disaster if you move your case around. Even if you don't, it still doesn't inspire confidence that everything is going to be O.K. in the long run.If your case lets it sit as it does in this picture, it's a good cooler, but otherwise my advice is to leave well alone, at least until Cooler Master find a better way of attaching it. The flimsy clips currently supplied are ill-fitting.
It's performance gives no cause for concern, showing the stock air cooler how its done in the world of high performance air cooling.
The fan is noisy, even in 1800rpm mode, a vibration setting in on the review sample that was simply annoying. No amount of reseating and rubber grommets rectified it, indicating a problem with the fan itself rather than its mounting.
It's a gutsy product to release but it's simply too heavy and too badly attached to recommend unless your case sits flat. It needs a revision in terms of fitment, new clips please Cooler Master.
