System Noise
The Cooler Master Eisberg 120L performed well in our overclocking test, but it really struggles in the noise benchmark. The coolers dual fans are lacking PWM control, and by running at a steady 1,600RPM they're constantly noisy, whether the system is idle or not.
Pump noise was a problem on earlier samples, but our third review unit appears to have alleviated that particular issue. The pump can still be heard when it's running flat out at 3,600RPM, but attach the 9V step-down adapter - which reduces pump speed to 2,800RPM - and it becomes less obvious.
Fan noise is the real culprit here, and we wouldn't be happy using the Eisberg 120L for everyday use without a pair of quieter, third-party fans.
