Benchmarks IV

Serious Sam 2 next. Benchmarked on the publicly available Valley of the Jaguar Timedemo, one that is highly geometry dependant. Settings used were 1024x768x32 normal preferences. As always, sound was disabled.

Pure CPU power, allied to fast memory, makes a discernable difference here.

Moving swiftly on to Comanche 4, another benchmark that loves raw CPU / memory speed. Benchmarked at 1024x768x32

Another indication of just how important a fast base system is to a number of games, especially at lower resolutions.

I'll finish off with Quake 3 run at 512 Fastest. This doubles as a system as well as gaming benchmark. The demo is extremely sensitive to changes in the base configuration.

The numbers posted don't reflect real games-playing scores. They do, however, show pure system throughput in graphic detail. We get a linear rise in performance as we raise the CPU clock.
