2CoolPC Plus

I have read about this many times before, companies promise things, consumers buy them and then find out lots of modding is needed to get them to work... This wasn't one of those cases. On 2 Cool PC website, they show their product, and state it is the easiest cooling device to install in the world.

South Bay Engineering, are the people who make the clear plastic 2 CoolPC and 2 Cool PCPlus. But there is little difference between the 2 coolers, the Plus has a slightly more powerful fan and they charge 10$ more for this, I was sent the Plus because it is created for bigger cases such as servers with full towers which is what I had.

From literately opening the white box to installing it, I couldn't have even boiled the kettle. I just had to undo my case, and apart from one small problem slide it in and power it up..... and you guessed it, done ;)

I tested it in Hexus Rig AMD Athlon CPU @ 800 Mhz
Pioneer SCSI 6X DVD
CL Geforce DDR Pro
Sound Blaster Live!
Yamaha CDRW
Teac 32X SCSI CD Rom
Aopen HX08 Case
Biostar Motherboard
Adaptec 2940 u2w Case
Quantum 9.1 GB Viking II LVD HDD /w Ultimate Hard Drive Cooler
Quantum 9.1 GB Atlas III LVD HDD /w Ultimate Hard Drive Cooler
128 PC-133 SDRAM
LS120 Drive
300W PSU
Real Magic DVD Card

2 CoolPC Plus Spec :

Super High Output 50 CFM fan
Dual Ball-bearing 92 x 92 x 25mm fan
4 pin Pass through Molex Connector

With the 2 Cool PC Plus installed, I decided to remove all other cooling aids to see how well it ran. My PC ran normally at the 31 Degrees mark, but after installing this unit my temp never went over the 28 degrees, even after having a large Q3A game ;) My system was more silent, all I could hear were the 2 Hard Drive coolers.

The 2 CoolPC Plus cools down more than a normal case fan, it cools the motherboard and all of your installed cards (very useful when you have a Geforce and an Athlon) I didn't need it too cool the drives as I already have the best coolers (I will have a shoot out soon).

of the Case .................... In the case... simple ;)

Thanks to the 2Cool design my case can remained very cool, as it targets certain areas. I also think that you could mod it to Suck or blow at your desire. This could be helpful for people with smaller cases to suck all the hot air out, while with larger cases you want to keep good airflow and air coming in.
