Conclusion

Having used this system for just over a week, I've been very impressed by it. The bundle is a very nice package for any enthusiastic overclocker, who wants the some of the best and fastest kit around, DDR Athlon systems haven't become very widespread yet and the lack of decent overclocking friendly DDR motherboards is pretty poor. So the Abit KT7A and other boards based on the KT133A chipset are looking like a very good choice, They offer proven features and as this is the second generation of the KT133 chipset the teething troubles have been ironed out.

The copper shim is something definitely worth having with all the horror stories of breaking the CPU core, it adds an extra feeling of security as you prise the heatsink clip down on the CPU, you certainly don't want to be breaking the core on your shiny new 1400MHz Athlon!.

All in all this proved to be a very nice setup, it ran stably enough at 1466Mhz to run Quake 3 and 3DMark 2000, this means that it's well pretty stable (O:, there was the odd crash I suppose, but since I was using the CPU at 66Mhz over the stated guaranteed speed you really cannot complain at all. As the CPU burns in it will probably work fine at 1466MHz. As always your results may vary but as OcUK guarantee the CPU at 1400MHz then you will definitely be getting a CPU capable of at least 1400MHz (O:. You cant go wrong go buy one now your won't be disappointed (O:
