be quiet! will tell you that the specially designed air vents provide "excellent air permeability to ensure the best possible cooling performance," but slim angled vents are no match for a full-mesh frontage. Silent Base 601 ultimately favours low-noise operation over maximum cooling performance, but that's no bad thing - the case is more than capable of keeping our Ryzen CPU running cool, and we're expecting excellent results in the noise readings further down the page.

There isn't a great deal separating all of the chassis when it comes to GPU cooling performance.

Keeping noise levels down to a minimum is in our estimation the toughest challenge for a performance chassis. It's an area in which be quiet! excels, and the Silent Base 601 slots in toward the top of the chart alongside the Dark Base 700 and 900.
