Round the back
Around the back, the finish of the aluminium is good, too. As you can see, the layout is pretty much standard with the power-supply bay located up top.
Both side-panels are removable, courtesy of two silver thumbscrews pre-fitted to each. The panels are removed by sliding them back and lifting up. This is tricky at first due to the tight fit out of the factory but they ease up over time.
The PSU itself mounts into a removable plate at the rear of the PC-A12. This arrangement is far less common than it used to be and was good to see, especially at this price-point.
Down the bottom of the rear is a simple perforated area alongside the expansion-slot plates. A black protective mesh sits between the rear 120mm fan and the case but we'd imagine it could be a bit tricky to clean.
What's conspicuous by its absence from the back is any water-cooling preparation. Many cases at this price-point have holes with grommets fitted - as do some that are considerably cheaper - and we reckon that Lian-Li would be doing itself a favour by making them standard on the PC-A12.
