Press Release

The popular office software suite, Ability Office (V4.0) has been updated, and most significant amongst its enhancements is its full compatibility with Microsoft Windows Vista. The “Vista Ready” update is available for customers to download now from www.ability.com.

Ability Office combines seven application modules: Ability Write, Ability Spreadsheet, Ability Presentation, Ability Database, Ability Photopaint, Ability Photoalbum and Ability Draw. All the Ability modules have a familiar look and feel and are very easy to use. The primary improvements that have been made to this Vista Ready release include a very smooth installation process under Vista, the inclusion of an updated PDF Creator and the adoption of a Vista-suitable interface display Theme.

Chris England at Ability said: “We have designed the new release of Ability Office to reflect the clean, fresh lines reflected in Vista. Having seen the poor default presentation of MS Office 2003 on Vista systems we decided to implement interface and colour themes which are more closely matched to the latest release of MS Office on Vista.

“It is very straightforward for customers to upgrade and they will benefit immediately from the improvements we have made,” Chris England added.

Ability Office is suitable for both commercial and home use. A single retail pack includes two licenses for a owner’s personal commercial use, allowing installation on both a desktop PC and a notebook. In addition, an unlimited license for home based non-commercial family use will allow Ability Office to be used for household budgeting, social scheduling, photo inventory management, image editing and maybe even some homework, on a number of different PCs at the same time.

Ability Office provides free, unlimited technical support by email, and the web site (http://www.ability.com/support/) features a PDF QuickStart Tutorial, a 600-page PDF User’s Guide, and a FAQ section. Customers who want to upgrade should go to www.ability.com.
