PRESS RELEASE
Dixons Retail rationalises product line and acknowledges McAfee as a leading brand in the sector
Slough, UK - Oct. 17, 2012 - McAfee today announces the availability of their 2013 Internet Security product range via Currys and PC World, the UK's leading electrical retailers owned by Dixons Retail plc, in a consolidation of the Internet Security software range available in stores.
For the first time, Dixons Retail has reduced its range of Internet Security products from the current seven suppliers to just two. This move is designed to simplify the selection process for Currys and PC World customers, whilst improving their overall shopping experience by providing them with a choice of key Internet Security products.
"McAfee has been a consistently high performer within the Internet Security marketplace with many household names using its software," said Nick Viney, VP EMEA consumer, mobile and small business, McAfee. "This partnership with Dixons Retail shows their recognition of our brand and our commitment to bring that experience to the wider marketplace, so that all households can relax, safe in the knowledge that they are protected by some of the best security software available today."
"Currys and PC World are the UK's leading retailers in terms of the Internet Security market and, befitting our status, we want to offer customers the best most insightful shopping experience. We have therefore included one of the most recognised Internet Security brands within the UK," said Ryan Sambridge, Category Manager (Software), Currys and PC World. "McAfee offer high-end, high-quality products that complement our aims and our focus on the customer."
McAfee 2013 products that are in stock and immediately available at both Currys and PC World stores, as well as online, include:
McAfee All Access - enabling users to secure smartphones, tablets, netbooks, PCs and Macs with the optimal level of security protection for each device.
McAfee Internet Security - providing the most comprehensive and effective protection for customers on the Windows platform against virus and online threats. Available as a One- or Three-user solution.
McAfee Total Protection Three-User - the ultimate protection against virus, online and network threats for up to three users. Stops hackers and thieves, protects your personal identity and prevents any social network activity being compromised.
