Free tool reports on the speed, stability and security of Windows machines
BitDefender®, an award winning provider of innovative internet security solutions, has announced the release of the free BitDefender Security Scan. It is designed to provide information needed to keep Windows machines running safely and smoothly, in a convenient and speedy way.
After undertaking a quick scan of the machine, Security Scan will show a detailed report on the status of any security threats and registry errors. Crucially, it will run alongside any other security solutions installed, providing a complementary layer of protection and troubleshooter to boost performance.
The product uses BitDefender Quickscan, which takes full advantage of "in-the-cloud" technology to detect active malware in less than a minute, taking just a fraction of the system resources needed by a regular virus scan. There is no need for virus signature updates, as the entire virus database and the scanning engines are hosted on remote servers.
Furthermore, Security Scan will recommend the best solution to both secure the PC from any threats and also to help restore the computer's speed and stability should there be any problems.
