- Delivers intuitive scanning by feeding documents face-up, and with full automatic processing

United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, 5TH September, 2011 - Canon, world-leader in imaging solutions, has today launched the imageFORMULA DR-C125 desktop scanner featuring an industry-first vertical J-path document transport system for intuitive and space-saving scanning. Built for busy or small desktop environments, its slim design and powerful software suite1 provides users with an easy to use, feature-rich desktop scanning solution.
The imageFORMULA DR-C125 is sleek, stylish and ultra-compact. Where space is at a premium, its vertical J-path design eliminates the need for output tray extensions so that even during operation, its footprint is no larger than an average office telephone. It is a discrete addition to any home office, small office or point-of-sale environment, to boost scanning efficiency.
The imageFORMULA DR-C125 includes face-up document feeding for easy and natural scanning. This system allows documents to be placed conveniently in the feeder so that the text is naturally orientated for the user. A full auto mode2 feature automatically selects the optimum scan settings based on the document content, while users can also set-up multiple scan jobs for fast and effective processing of routine scanning tasks.
The imageFORMULA DR-C125 is bundled with Canon's newly-designed CaptureOnTouch software. Its user friendly interface provides a simplified scanning experience for users to save or share their scanned documents to multiple destinations including Microsoft SharePoint and cloud-based applications such as Evernote. It also supports multiple file formats such as searchable-PDF, PDF-A, TIFF, JPEG, BMP and PowerPoint. In addition, a full licence of eCopy PDF Pro Office software is provided to help organisations better manage their document processes with advanced tools for creating, modifying and converting PDF documents.
Amanda Recknell, Product Manager, Professional imageFORMULA Scanners says, "We wanted to introduce a scanner that uses innovative design to deliver the smallest footprint when scanning. The imageFORMULA DR-C125's vertical J-Path design saves the desk space that is normally required for traditional desktop scanners - enabling our customers to benefit from document scanning in restricted spaces whether that be in busy office environments, small home offices or customer service counters. The imageFORMULA DR-C125 stands alone in the market thanks to its unique combination of space-saving design, powerful software and its extreme ease of use."
Compatible with both Windows and Mac devices, Canon's imageFORMULA DR-C125 incorporates fast, reliable colour scanning speeds of up to 50 images per minute, with ultrasonic double feed detection to ensure a reliable and smooth operation. Users can also select the device's straight path option to process irregular documents such as thick and embossed card and long documents up to 3m in length.
Pricing and Availability
The imageFORMULA DR-C125 will be available from September 2011 priced at £526.00 / €595.00 RRP incl. VAT.
