The overengineering present on the Gigabyte card, which actually runs at an in-game 1,940MHz, means it runs coolly. It's not the quietest, mind, and the under-load noise figure is a tad troubling when much smaller cards can keep quieter.
On closer examination, the fans zip up to high RPMs for short periods then calm down. We report the peak figure.
