HyperTX2 Cooler production line

As with the production lines for high-end chassis, heat-pipe coolers are put together by hand, though with only a couple of people involved at each stage.

The images below show the main steps in production of the Cooler Master HyperTX2.

The LGA775 retention clips are first assembled and then passed to the second person who puts the clip-mounting frame and fan onto the heat-sink itself.

During this stage, the heat sink thermal paste is applied with a paintbrush and the excess skimmed off.

The third stage uses a DC fan tester and oscilloscope combination - ensuring, for a short time, that the fans are operating within normal parameters. The idea is to prevent end-users receiving coolers with fans that are dead on arrival.

The cooler is packed into its retail packaging along with the appropriate accessories such as the quick-install guide.
