Developer Edge of Reality, the people responsible for bringing The Sims to consoles, have announced a new first person shooter for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
The game is billed as a military combat game where the American government enlists the help of John Cipher to investigate the shooting down of an exploration satellite in orbit.
"The evolution of action games has seemed to plateau, perhaps because of the emphasis on sequels," said president of Edge of Reality Binu Philip. "We are exploring and developing brand-new styles of gameplay and methods of storytelling. The concept and mechanics of Cipher Complex have been incubating in our mind for years, and with [the] power of the next-gen consoles, we can finally make our dream project a reality."
Edge of Reality have currently released no further details on the project, although we did find a couple of screenshots at PSX Extreme.
