A proud day for PS3 gamers - Killzone 2 has arrived.

Killzone 2 is an intense first person shooter. Ten hours of enthralling gameplay just flew by as I lost myself in the cinematic ambiance and the visual beauty of the detailed landscapes and dilapidated architecture of the planet of Helghan, not to mention the many furious battles against the fanatical and powerful Helghast army. Killzone 2 is a gritty and profound experience that I won't forget in a long time.

Guerrilla Games has exploited the power of the PS3 better than any developer thus far to deliver a cinematic experience that remains consistently brilliant throughout its 10 action-packed levels. Production values are high, with impressive cut-scenes that slide nicely into the gameplay and never interrupt its impressive flow and flurrying pace. Despite the generic good vs. evil storyline and the familiar weapon set, or the predictable attack and defend objectives, Killzone 2 is a significant game for Playstation 3. It has set a new standard for the first person shooter genre that will be hard to imitate. Part of Killzone’s 2 draw is undoubtedly its vivid graphics and outstanding visual effects, but level design, weapon handling, an accessible and smooth control system and great AI, all play an equally significant part in making it such a memorable experience

In Killzone 2 you take the role of Sergeant Tomas "Sev" Sevchenko of the ISA (Interplanetary Strategic Alliance), who is on a mission to capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Scolar Visari who has taken over the ISA colony of Helghan and made it his home. Guarding the planet from invasion are his masked troops, the Helghast, who are of human descent but have adapted themselves physically to cope with the harsh conditions of its planet. As you and your ISA troops search for Visari, the Helghast seek to do everything in their power to stop you from taking control of Helghan.
