International Superstar Soccer
Again, I actually have two titles here; International Superstar Soccer 2 for GBA and Pro Evolution Soccer 2 for PS2. Konami's ISS series has long been the choice for gamers who enjoy a decent game of football (rather than a big list of lisenced games i.e. FIFA). Pro Evolution took the dynamics that made ISS so good, and added the FIFPRO lisence to give a selection of real players. The result is a well-honed, thinking-man's football game both in its PS2 and GBA existance. They've actually done pretty well with the GBA version. Once again, have a screen from ISS on the SNES to compare it to:

ISS 2 on GBA
As you can see, most of the changes are simple interface cleanups. More data is given to the player, the picture is a little clearer. Unlike some titles this isn't just a straight port from the SNES, but I'd be surprised if they programmed this from scratch without at least a quick glance at the SNES source code. The PS2 title on the other hand looks a little more... refined
PES 2 on PS2
Football games aren't really my style (not enough zombies or nazis), but ISS is by far the most engaging, with a hardcore gaming feel rather than the cheap arcade feel of many of its peers. More when we have it.
