Introduction
So.. You’ve your nice powerful pc and you have you’re the latest kit.. But hell what now can you buy; well we have found the answer. Many sites have reviewed the EverGlide attack pad, which i personally don’t get on well with at all. Ive managed to get hold of an EverGlide Giganta, this mat is larger than the normal attack pad, and slightly larger than the Ratpad, which i use at home, soon to be replaced buy this mat.Before this mouse mat used to be impossible to get in the UK, and it took some real effort from a UK set of partners to finally set-up a UK distrib sector to allow us to have the lovely EverGlides easily in the UK rather than having to pay high shipping charges from the other side of the pond.
There is one major advantage of this mouse mat and this is that, with normal cloth mouse mats they tend to make your mouse very dirty after a few weeks of use. This dirt then gets onto the rollers inside your mouse and makes it harder to move, but you need to clean out your mat, this wastes valuable gaming time, and means you miss out on those few extra frags.
The EverGlide Pad is very much like the Ratpad we reviewed it has a textured finish to it, which proves for a really smooth mouse surface.
The EverGlide mousepad has a nice curved shape with a curve at the bottom for you to rest your wrist in. There are 6 Grips on the bottom of the pad, this is a few less than the RatPad but the pad didn’t move a mm during games of Q2/3
This mat improved my Q3 skills as it made it easier to spin around there was less grime in my mouse which made life a lot smoother and also made the overall game play faster. I also noticed that browsing the net was a lot easier as well, with the bevelled edges allowing me to rest my hand on the mat and also not having all of the grime in the mouse a lot easier. This makes me summarise that this mouse pad was designed for gamers.
Overall, this is an excellent product and I would recommend it to anyone. It is also available at a very good price.
