There are only two presents you need this Christmas
The exquisite cut-scenes just add to the epic gameplay and many of the environments are photo-realistic. Running through a forest as leaves drop to the ground couldn't look more stunning; even the blades of grass are so finely detailed that it's worth noting how they get crushed under your heavy boot. The sound of bullets hitting glass, grenades hitting bunkers and even rain splashing on grass is as realistic as I could possibly imagine. Close your eyes and the echo of war reverberates through every bone, open them and you'll be immersed in the frightening yet intensely satisfying world of videogame warfare.
We wish we would have spent more time with Call of Duty 3, but with an invite to play Gears of War multiplayer we couldn’t miss the opportunity. It's a tough call this Christmas if you only have the cash to fork out on one game. We'd personally recommend cancellng Christmas and spending the money you have saved for presents on both Gears of War and Call of Duty 3. It's selfish we know, but your family and friends need to understand that this is one of the most exciting periods of the year for great games and this year we've got two blockbusters on our hands.
