If you've been enjoying being evil (or really evil) in Codemaster's twisted fantasy action adventure, Overlord, then you may be pleased to hear that a new game mode is due for release shortly.

A new multiplayer split-screen mode will allow gamers to go head to head with an all-new split screen multiplayer mode.

That's all we know for now I'm afraid, but the new mode will be playable for the first time at the Games Convention in Liepzig next week, so we'll have more details then.

The Overlord has the power of concentrated badness right from the start and you'll know how much more of a total bad-ass you’re becoming as the game tracks your 'corruption' throughout.

How corrupt you become depends on how you handle any given situation, your actions and how their consequences impact the game world. For example, if you and your minion horde dispose of a bunch of particularly nasty, violent Halflings that have overrun a once-peaceful village, the village's original peasant occupants will herald you as their liberator. Now each time you pass through, the peasants will welcome you as their new lord and protector, cheering your arrival and giving you offerings.

Overlord is available now on Xbox 360 and PC.

Great…

Just when I think I've finally finished wasting all my time playing this on the 360, this comes along.

Damn… with Bioshock, blue dragon, oblivion, overlord and GH3 all wanting more playtime I can see myself becoming a hermit for a few months now.
yeah - life is good.
