MMORPG on 360

New rumours are surfacing that World of Warcraft, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), developed by Blizzard Entertainment, is indeed in production for the Xbox 360. The rumour has been fuelled by Xbox World 360 magazine who have ran a short article on the immensly popular game.

Due to World of Warcraft having huge appeal to MMORPG fans there are always going to people speculating as to whether the game will make an appearance on the Xbox 360, but Blizzard have denied the rumour.

We haven't seen a copy of the Xbox World Magazine, but one forum poster on the Xbox.com forums tells us that the magazine states that although," it is not confirmed it may as well be Gold plated fact."

Square Enix have made the transition from PC to Xbox 360 with their own MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI, the game runs on the console perfectly. Due to the huge popularity of World Of Warcraft it seems common sense that Blizzard will follow suit.

I thought Blizzard categorically denied it not that long ago?
Repeatedly! ;)
Unless it gets announced at E3 and proves me wrong I go with the catergorical

“Ain't happening”
They've denied it dozens of times, but then more info pops up to suggest otherwise.

They've already said that the architecture of the 360 doesn't allow for MMO's, and then at the same time they've said,

“ Blizzard hasn't ruled out the 360 completely for an MMO; however, it isn't currently planning anything for that system.”

If it's not suitable then why don't they rule it out. They never say WOW won't be coming to Xbox 360, they've only ever said we have no plans for WOW for the 360 for now.

The 360 does work with MMO's, Final Fantasy is just as good on the console as it is on PC, so if Square Enix can do it, then so can Blizzard.
I think it might be a more qualified statement, i.e. "The current version of World of Warcraft has been ruled out for the 360".

Meaning that they might well wait for an expansion pack or two to come out, then base the 360 version on that..

Realistic?
