Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil 6 will launch later this year and feature three playable characters.

Due to land on Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 20, 2012, with a PC version to follow, Resident Evil 6 will feature US Federal Agent Leon Kennedy and Special Operations Agent Chris Redfield as playable characters as they attempt to curb the resurgence in bioterrorist activity.

Capcom has confirmed a third playable character, who it hasn’t yet named, and has said that each character will have its own unique perspective and involvement in the game. While Chris Redfield’s storyline takes place in China, Leon will be cracking zombie skulls on more familiar ground as the T-virus spreads across the American town of Tall Oaks. A co-op mode has also been confirmed.

The teaser trailer shows a glimpse of what horrors await, including Leon’s run-in with the President of the United States.

I hope they go back to survival horror….Dead Space has made me realise resident evil hasn't been itself for a while :(
HAH, its nice that they've kept with tradition and have maintained the ropey voice acting, LOL.

Agreed, having to economise on ammo and medkits / plants added to the fear factor as you just didn't have enough ammo to kill all the zombies.

But to fair, its going to a difficult task trying to keep the whole zombies thing relevant these days especially now that its been done to death, literally, for me I'm not sure the action stance works very well on its own, this was only saved by the drop-in co-op but it was a brave and welcome step taken in Resident Evil 4.

That said, this is looking mildly interesting, and heres hoping it'll be a good game in the end :)
That looks great and hopefully gets the games back on track. Fingers crossed the PC port isn't another poorly coded resource hog.
Looks Epic … but also a bit of a muddle - hopefully the game makes a bit more sense than the trailer!!
Hope the gameplay/control is better that RE5, I bought it for the 360 and found it near unplayable.
