There's a weather theme beginning to emerge this morning, with the announcement that SEGA's NiGHTS will be the first game to use the Wii's 'Weather Channel' and now we hear that THQ are in the midst of creating a new Xbox live arcade game that will allow us to control Mother Nature.

Elements of Destruction is one of the four titles that THQ are developing exclusively for the Xbox live arcade. The other titles are SpongeBob SquarePants Underpants Slam! Rocket Riot and ScrewJumper!

Elements of Destruction will allow us to cause carnage to the environment using the likes of tornadoes and earthquakes. We're told they'll be mission based objectives and challenges as well as a number of unique locations allowing us to test out all of nature's power.

•Blow buildings apart, start raging fires and damaging lightning as you cause mayhem in towns, cities, and the countryside!

The screenshots don't look too bad either, thumbs up to THQ for trying something different.
