PSP Slim sees UK launch problems

You can have it in any colour you like, as long as it's black.

Ok, so you like your PSP but wish it was a bit lighter and less bulky? Well that's one reason to look at getting the PSP Slim.

However, if you fancy having it in one of the new colours, ie. the Ceramic White or Ice Fox colours you're going to have to wait a little longer as, for some unknown reason, both of these colours won't be available on launch day. So it's black or nothing at all as far as colours go.

But then you can still hook it up to your TV with the TV-Out cable, yeah?

Umm, no.

Again, for some unknown reason, the TV-Out cable isn't going to be ready for launch day either... which is a bit of a bugger.

It seems odd that Sony are having these problems with a platform that already well established. Sure, the new PSP Slim looks great compared to the older, fatter version, but demand for it can't be that high, surely? And how much bother is it to throw some connectors on a bit of cable for the TV-Out lead?

Ah well, that's life. At least Sony are nudging the PS3 ever onwards with those regular updates...
