Do the mash...do the monster mash

Despite some fairly average reviews, I really enjoyed the first installment of SouthPeak Games 3D top-down, hack 'n slash monster slaying ‘Monster Madness’ series.

Fans will be glad to hear that the second title in the franchise has now been named as Monster Madness: Grave Danger and will be released on the PS3 later this year.

Developer, Psyonix Studios say they’ve been listening to feedback and critisim from the fans and have taken the game back to drawing board and revamped almost every aspect of it.

Improvements from the original Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia include, completely reconstructed camera angles, tightened control scheme, updated graphics and expanded online multiplayer modes. In addition to this we can expect an online four player co-op story mode, 15 new characters and 20 new “Challenge” mini-games to bolster the gameplay experience.

Monster Madness: Grave Danger is expected to hit store shelves in Q2 2008. In the meantime, you can read our Xbox 360 review of Monster Madness: Battle For Surburbia.
