8. Desktop Tower Defence
This is a classic amongst TD games being one of the first to offer up a maze building aspect to turret placement. You’re limited to a choice of just five turret types, each upgradeable to uber-power but it’s how you build your maze to cope with the different types of enemies that’ll make the real difference. A variety of difficulty levels gives this one a bit more life than other TD games.
