One for caring moms!

NINTENDO WII

Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Mom’s are caring and have nerves of steel, they gave birth to us remember? The need for a steady hand is perfect for moms, nothing can faze them and so this medical simulation should be a breeze.

My mom says: “Heart surgery, tumor removal; it’s not a problem. I didn't really like the DS version, but it's much more fun using the Wii controller to stitch up patients.”

NINTENDO DS

Cooking Mama 2

It’s not the 1950’s and not all mother’s do all the cooking these days, but my mother is a traditional one who loves nothing more than cooking up a nice meat pie for the family and seeing our beaming faces as we scoff the lot. She completed the first Cooking Mama and loved it.

My mom says: “I love it how you can just pick up and get into the game immediately. I could cook up a sizzling steak, turn the DS off, check that the pan wasn’t boiling over in the kitchen, and then come back and cook up a shrimp wonton. It’s simple, yet addictive”

After a long discussion, it was decided that I'd purchase Cooking Mama 2 for my mother as she loved the first one so much.

My mum loves to play taxing games and she's currently addicted to playing peggle extreme so much that she's even pulled an all-nighter recently playing until about 5-6 in the morning.

Before this she loved Vexx on the xbox and used to be always playing this when my dad took over the TV to watch his cowboy movies.

Yeah, mums do seem to go a lot for the brainy games. My wife, (soon to be mum) loves Word Training, Maths Training and Brain Training. If i want to play on Xbox 360, I just have to tempt her into having one go on Tetris DS, then I can get on with it in peace as she'll be hooked all evening.
Nice idea, and undoubtably my mum'd like some of those games but it would mean a) buying her a DS/Wii or b) lending her mine.

Sorry mum, it's gonna be flowers/choccies/smelly candles again.
