BT800 – Front and back

BT800

The top of the BT800 is dominated by a large circle with the Jabra brand emblazoned upon it; this is in fact the navigation wheel for the inbuilt software that also doubles up as a volume control during a call. The central black spot that appears in the above picture flashes to indicate the device is powered up with a blue glow and also acts as the mute button when you are in a call.

The ear band on the BT800 is triple jointed, with both the ear hoop and the anchor point rotating to allow you to get comfortable. In addition to this, the design of the BT800 is suitable for both the left and right ear, a simple rotation of the outer circle allows you to set up the headset for use on your preferred side.

The back of the device is where the BT800 is packing the best features, specifically the very useful, and very well executed blue LCD. Coupled with the previously mentioned navigational wheel on the other side of the device, you can scroll through various menu options whilst using the two buttons under the display to choose the option on screen.

Of course, with the appearance of the display comes the much sought after battery indicator which remains on screen when the headset is not in use. As a result of the display, the battery performance has suffered slightly with a quoted talk time of 6 hours and a standby time of around 125 hours.
