The Queen's Christmas message to air online
YouTube users may have noticed the launch of a new channel on the hugely popular video sharing website yesterday. Titled "The Royal Channel", the official YouTube channel of the British monarchy, it features archived clips and will tomorrow air the annual Christmas speech at 3pm.
The Queen, aged 81, is said to have been encouraged to use YouTube by her granddaughters, Beatrice and Eugenie. A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "The Queen always keeps abreast with new ways of communicating with people. This will make the Christmas message more accessible to younger people."
Last year's Christmas message was made available to view on the internet and to download as a podcast, it's surely only a matter of time before we get the official interactive Xbox 360 game.
The question that remains is, will you be watching the speech on TV, listening to it on the radio, viewing it on YouTube or will you be opting for Channel 4's alternative message instead?
