PRESS RELEASE

9 December 2014 - Brand new Sky Fibre launches today, offering superfast, super reliable fibre broadband at a great value price of just £10 a month - the UK's lowest standard priced fibre.

With more and more people wanting to try fibre for the first time, Sky Fibre is a great low-cost option for those who want fibre speeds but don't need unlimited usage. It offers download speeds of up to 38Mbps and comes with a 25GB usage cap.

Ideal for those looking for superfast browsing, Sky Fibre will also see customers able to download an album in seconds and begin watching a TV show or movie on demand in less than a minute.

Sky Fibre will sit alongside the unlimited fibre options, Sky Fibre Unlimited and Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro, expanding the collection of fibre products available from Sky to suit a wider range of customer needs.

Lyssa McGowan, Director of Sky Broadband, commented"We're always looking to give customers even more reasons to choose Sky. Sky Fibre means we can now offer superfast speeds for just £10 a month - the lowest standard price in the UK. It's perfect for those who want to try fibre for the first time."

Helping to keep customers safe online, all those taking fibre or broadband products from Sky also have access to great additional products like Sky Broadband Shield available at no extra cost.

The availability of Sky Broadband Shield is part of Sky's commitment to provide customers with effective and easy-to-use tools to help them to protect their families online. Earlier this year, Sky joined forces with the other major broadband providers in the UK to launch internetmatters.org, an online portal dedicated to providing information, advice and support for every parent in Britain when it comes to internet safety for children.
