Warrington based distributor VIP has announced it is stocking the Antec Veris Multi-Media Station, which it positions as "a complete solution for home theatre PC builders."

The aim of the Veris range is to provide the hardware and software to transform a PC or laptop into an entertainment centre allowing the user to navigate multi-media content without the use of a keyboard or mouse.

They are essentially infra-red receivers that slot into 3.5-inch or 5.25-inch drive bays, or in one case connect externally via USB, in order to extend HTPC functionality to normal PCs via a remote control.

Victoria Davies, Product Manager at VIP, said: "With an increase in HTPC sales, this solution from Antec is perfect for providing a low cost alternative with all the benefits, making the Veris range an ideal add on sale to any standard PC."

There are four models. The E-Z is the USB one, designed primarily with laptops in mind.
