More reorganisation
The other part of this transfer concerns the HDD media business, which is being sold to Showa Denko. The move is expected to be completed by 30 June and the terms of the deal are still ongoing.
The last part of the reorganisation announced today is the splitting off of Fujitsu's optical modules business into its wholly owned subsidiary Fujitsu Optical Components Manufacturing. Judging by the other moves made today, this could be in preparation for the eventual selling-off of this business too.
