Exterior Appearance

Outwardly, the T2.e evolution looks little different to the older one.

Unit

Measuring 386mm wide, 366mm deep and 73mm high with new 8mm high feet, the T2.e is small enough to fit into a large majority of AV racks without any issue. It's slightly deeper (around 20mm) to accomodate longer PCI card installations and give the EPIA board section more room in between itself and the optical drive.

The polycarb front seen on the red one is still alive and well, this time with a blue LED to provide the glow effect, complementing the silver paint.

Glow

The silver paint looks automotive in origin, tiny off-colour flecks giving it a great pearlescent effect that I'd be happy to show off in my living room.

As mentioned above, the revised T2.e has new circular feet to better fit in with other AV components you have, style wise.

Feet

The unit's CPU and northbridge cooler is revised too, the fins for which you can see on the right side of the chassis. Hewn from an aluminium block, the entire fin section is a single piece of metal.

Fins

Round at the rear you can see the EPIA-SP's backplane I/O and the three-space PCI I/O, this time filled with dual TV tuners and USB/FireWire expansion ports.

Rear Left

Dual tuners

So outwardly it's little different with the photographs of the rear giving hints as to what's inside.
