Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1080 is the current king of the hill when it comes to consumer GPUs, though it will soon be surpassed by the imminent Titan X. Cyberpower's overclocked implementation of the liquid-cooled MSI card delivers the best single-GPU result in 3DMark Fire Strike, and it's bested only by the DinoPC BX1, which if you recall had dual GTX 980 Tis in its belly.

Intrigued to know how the system compares to your own 3DMark Time Spy scores? We benched the Luxe Xtreme at 7,599 and it sailed through the Time Spy Stress Test with a score of 98.6 per cent.

This is the world's best consumer GPU paired to the world's only 10-core consumer CPU, and both are overclocked for good measure. Performance is understandably excellent at FHD and QHD resolutions, yet there is something disconcerting about not being able to average 60fps in Dirt Rally, Hitman nor Rise of the Tomb Raider at a lush 4K UHD resolution.

Want more power without having to wait for Titan X? No problem, two GTX 1070s in SLI ought to do it at a total cost of £4,660, or if you're feeling particularly reckless, the Luxe Xtreme is a mere £5,293 when outfitted with dual liquid-cooled GTX 1080s.
