Benchmarks: Temperature and Noise
When it comes to cooling performance, Mortis isn't found wanting. NZXT's Noctis 450 chassis is pre-configured with four chassis fans (three 120mm intakes and a rear 140mm exhaust) and these, coupled with the Corsair liquid cooler, are able to keep all components running well within their thermal limits.
There is a catch, however, as the fans and liquid cooler aren't the quietest. We'd expect a modern gaming rig to keep noise levels below 35dB when idle, but during testing PC Specialist's Mortis recorded a clearly audible 42.3dB. We wouldn't go as far as to call it obtrusively loud, yet you can always hear it and if you have a preference for quiet rigs, you'll need to make some adjustments in order to get noise levels down to a more agreeable level.
