Benchmarks: Gaming
Two systems in our line-up are outfitted with a GeForce GTX 970 - Chillblast's Fusion Silencio and PC Specialist's Mortis. The latter's Skylake CPU isn't of great benefit when the onus is placed on the discrete GPU, though the Nvidia part in question remains a great choice for high-quality gaming.

To get a truer feel of the system's gaming capabilities, we've also run a subset of modern titles with maximum amounts of image quality at three resolutions: FHD, QHD and 4K UHD.
With a GTX 970 at the helm, Mortis has no trouble at a popular 1080p resolution but will fall short of the desired 60fps in more demanding titles at 2,560x1,440. The games remain playable, mind, and it's only at a 4K that the system really starts to struggle.
