Benchmarks: CPU
HEXUS readers should know by now that Intel's sixth-generation Skylake architecture doesn't re-write the rule book, but rather further bolsters the chip giant's position as the dominant provider of performance consumer CPUs. Case in point; we can't remember the last time a system integrator asked to send in an AMD-based machine.
Outfitted with a Core i5-6600K, PC Specialist's Mortis easily outpaces the two machines armed with a previous-generation Core i5-4690K - Cyberpower's Infinity Hercules Pro and Chillblast's Fusion Silencio - and gets reasonably close to the Vulcan 440, which carried a Core i7-4790K also running at 4.6GHz.
