Our CPU benchmarks are right in line with expectations. Architectural enhancements ensure that Skylake at 4.6GHz edges ahead of Haswell at 4.6GHz in the single-threaded PiFast test to the tune of roughly five per cent.

Scan's i7-6700K machine also delivers the best quad-core numbers in our multi-threaded Cinebench and HandBrake tests, but four Skylake cores are no match for half-a-dozen of Haswell, meaning X99-based machines retain their lead.
