The Broadwell-based NUC is a step ahead of its older Haswell sibling, but the difference in terms of CPU performance isn't huge. The i5-5250U is roughly five per cent quicker in a single-threaded workload, but the gains can increase to over 10 per cent in multi-threaded scenarios.
