BIOS
The BIOS, due to being paired with the latest revision FB61 motherboard, is another area that sees a slight SB61G2 v3.0 update, compared to previous iterations. The standard stuff is all there, with the Shuttle specific features we've come to enjoy, such as SmartFan, are there too.
The differences in BIOS control come where CPU and memory controller adjustment is concerned, both in CPU voltage control and front side bus speed (CPU->MCH bus).
Previous FB61/SB61G2s stopped at 255MHz (often 256MHz when measured), the latest FB61 goes to a heady 355MHz.
1.5875V is the upper limit for CPU Vcore. A little higher might have been nice on any other motherboard, but in an enclosed XPC, it's a decent figure. It drops as low as 0.825V, for the experimental underclocker.
Memory voltage goes this high.
I'd like to see 2.8V (or possibly 2.9V, for those crazy PC4000+ sticks from the likes of OCZ and Corsair), given the new front side bus headroom increase, but 2.75V isn't too bad.
A decent BIOS with no apparent problems and a definite high point.
