Scan's overclock tends to be more conservative in small-form-factor systems. At 4.25GHz, the Core i7-5820K isn't able to top the single-threaded PiFast chart, which relies heavily on maximum frequency.

But load up all the available cores with a multi-threaded workload and the benefit of the hexa-core chip becomes clear to see. The 3XS X99 Micro, powered by Haswell-E, delivers the best performance we've seen from a turnkey system in the Cinebench and HandBrake benchmarks.
