Memory and single-threaded app. evaluation

With its PC2-4300 memory, the MESH falls behind our self-build system and the X1950 Fire in this synthetic test. It's using slower, cheaper memory, though.

The slow memory has a similar effect on latency, which is again far behind the other two PCs equipped with premium memory.

But the MESH is still using a Core 2 Duo E6600, which, strangely enough, is faster than its E6700-equipped Fire cousin. We mentioned in its review that the X1950 Fire software wasn't configured as we'd expected, hence the slow time for a 2.67GHz Conroe. HEXUS' E6600 uses better memory to good effect here, highlighting why premium memory is almost always a decent idea.
