There's good reason for system integrators to be enthusiastic about Intel's Devil's Canyon parts. With a healthy overclock in place, the Core i7-4790K delivers a chart-topping level of performance that can demand a premium price. Right now, you're unlikely to see anything quicker from a quad-core PC.
It's also worth mentioning that we tried running the 3XS Z97 Vengeance 780 at 4.8GHz and quickly ran into stability issues - Scan already has it pushed to the absolute maximum.
