Benchmarks: System and Gaming
Overall system performance falls just short of the Intel NUC, though there's good reason for that. Zotac's use of the Core i5-4200U limits the Zbox Sphere to HD 4400 graphics, whereas the Core i5-4250U gives Intel's NUC a slightly more-powerful HD 5000 IGP.
There's little to separate both machines, though, and irrespective of IGP, neither is fit for modern-day gaming. We also attempted to run BioShock Infinite and Total War: Rome II, but even with low-quality settings at 1080p, the Sphere wasn't able to return the desired 30fps.
