Gaming tests

We run a trio of games at 1920x1200 on a Dell 2405FPW to see what's what. The high resolution testing puts a goodly amount of stress on the graphics subsystem, letting us mostly isolate that from the rest and show you what power each system has in that department.

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

SC:CT

All of the pixel pwnage, all of the time. The Fire nearly doubles the performance of the HEXUS reference system with its single X1900 XTX, showing CrossFire scaling nicely and beating the 7900 GTX SLI graphics of the Extreme SLI without fuss or bother, despite a slower CPU.

Quake 4

Quake

The Extreme SLI takes the spoils in Quake 4, the Fire box not reaching its full potential in our opinion.

Far Cry

Far Cry

Not quite double the HEXUS reference box, this time, but faster than everything else on test as you'd expect. Let's try and sum things up.
